CFT 3653 - Multi Party Framework Agreement for Pitch Maintenance (lot 1) and open space pitch construction (lot 2) and associated works. The initial contract is for 12 months with an option to proceed

South Dublin County Council

South Dublin County Council currently has approx. 166 playing pitches for various sporting clubs such as Gaelic Football, Camogie, Hurling, Soccer, Rugby, Cricket, Rounders, Softball and Athletics etc serving over 1000 teams (pitch locations and numbers in Appendix C). Some 19,000 use these pitches on a weekly basis. The demand and expectation for good quality grass pitches are always increasing. The annual maintenance of pitches is not only important in improving the quality and quantity of sport played in an open space but it also contributes to a reduction in injuries to players. No pitch operations should be undertaken during or after poor weather/ground conditions. South Dublin County Council proposes to engage in a competitive process for the establishment of a Multi-Party Framework Agreement and is seeking to engage firms experienced in pitch maintenance and redevelopment works in various open spaces within the South Dublin County Council area. Framework Lots This framework will be divided into two lots, each lot will be a separate contract. Framework applicants can apply for one lot or all lots. Lot 1 1. Fertiliser Applications 2. Redevelopment/construction and drainage of existing open space pitch The Multi-Party Framework Agreement will be established on foot of this tender competition for future works if budgets become available. Lot 1 - Options to Proceed SDCC will have the option of proceeding with additional works during the life of the framework, this shall include hard and soft landscaping park works, and maintenance of synthetic (astro) turf grass maintenance (repair or replacement if required).
