UCC hereby issues this information in accordance with the requirements of EC directive 2004/18/EEC (open procedure) to Works Contractors for Completion of Redevelopment Works/Fit-out of No.5 Grenville Place, Cork for University College, Cork. This competition is also to establish a multi supplier framework of Works Contractors for Minor Works Projects to whom specific assignments may be awarded in due course based on the terms of a Framework Agreement on a non-exclusive basis.The six Tenderers with the top score under the MEAT test will be appointed to the framework contingent on six number Tenderers achieving the minimum required standard. Subject to compliance with all relevant pre-conditions as determined by UCC, UCC may enter into a Framework Agreement with these six Tenderers. The initial contract used to establish the framework comprises the completion of the redevelopment/fit-out of the previously stabilised five storey listed building by carrying out minor demolitions and alterations, completing the ground floor slab and upper floors where required, the insertion of new framed steel support structures, the construction of a new timber staircase, the refurbishment of existing timber sash windows and the fitting-out of the internal spaces in terms of new partitions, floor, wall and ceiling finishes to enable the spaces to be used for minor exhibition, meeting room and office spaces together with the construction of a single storey ground floor stores/services/WC extension as part of a five storey lift and lobby extension on piled foundations in the confined rear yard to the South plus full mechanical and electrical services installations throughout to the old and new, the works to be carried out employing, where applicable, best conservation practice in a "live" city centre environment as per the Detailed Drawings, Specifications and other Documents which form part of the Tender Documents/Works Requirements.
