This framework agreement concerns the acquisition of laboratory equipment for the purposes of research projects and training services in the biopharmaceutical, bioprocessing and biotechnology space. NIBRT is currently undergoing an active expansion to increase its physical footprint to include additional research laboratories and training suites. Accordingly, the need to equip these operational spaces has arisen. This initial competition is for equipment that would allow for training in the area of Cell and Gene Therapy and Vaccine manufacture. The full list of equipment required, and their desired specifications, for the equipping of this laboratory is laid out in Appendix 1.

This initial competition is for equipment that would allow for training in the area of Cell and Gene Therapy and Vaccine manufacture. The equipment in question would be for general cell culture and aseptic handling purposes. Equipment should be representative of what is used in manufacturing settings and have the โlook and feelโ of what is seen in cGMP facilities. However, full cGMP levels of commissioning and qualification, e.g., installation and operational qualification (IOQ), are not required. Basic installation costs should be outlined by the tenderer in the appropriate locations. Any preventative maintenance (PM) that can be provided should also be outlined as appropriate. If installation, PM, training, etc., is not applicable to a particular product, this will not be considered in the scoring of that proposed solution. All systems are to come equipped with UK and Ireland 3-pin plugs and be designed to operate on 200 -240V 50Hz European power supply.
