The proposed contract is to engage in rock blast and dredge works to facilitate the navigation to, and construction of, a new 200m long Deep Water Quay located adjacent to the existing Ros an Mhíl Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. Galway, Ireland. The Works and Sections of the Works will be constructed within the specified dates. The Works include drill and blast of an approximate 25,000m³ - 35,000m³ rock (depending on option), dredging in the navigation channel and berthing pocket and follow-on recovery of the blasted materials for re-use as recoverable infill materials for use in the reclamation works behind the new Quay Wall.
