The Marine Institute is the national agency responsible for Marine Research, Technology Development and Innovation. The explorers education programme was established in 2006 and is funded by the Marine Institute. The development and management of the programme and aspects of preparation and delivery of education is carried out by The Camden Education Trust, on behalf of the Marine Institute. The Camden Education Trust works with a support services team and also with outreach teams throughout Ireland to deliver the Explorers programme to primary school children, teachers, student teachers and the education network. The subject of this tender is the service of the outreach teams.
The outreach centres will deliver up to 423 modules to primary schools (4 โ 6 class) as part of the explorers education outreach in schools. Outreach centres are invited to submit tenders for one or more of fifteen lots.
