St Annin’s National School, otherwise Rosscahill N.S. is a mixed primary school under the patronage of the Bishop of Galway. The school is located adjacent to the N59 at Rosscahill, approximately 8km north west of Moycullen Village.
This is a Major Devolved Project devolved to the Board of Management under a Service Level Agreement between the Board and the Minister for Education.
Your attention is drawn to the attached Project Brief which you are requested to study in detail. The Project Brief includes the three Schedules of Accommodation approved by the Department of Education and Skills.
The project will entail:
• The major refurbishment of the existing building;
• The construction of an extension of 876 m2 as defined in the Schedule of Residual Accommodation;
• The demolition of some existing rooms as outlined in the Schedule of Suggested Future Use.
• The creation of adequate car parking for staff and visitors, adequate set down and pick up for pupils arriving by school bus, by car or by bicycle.
• The creation of adequate hard and soft play areas in accordance with the schedules of accommodation.
Architectural Services shall also include for:
(a) Fire Safety Consultancy Services, either as an in-house competency or a bought-in service, for the purpose of providing fire safety advice during design and to carry out fire safety compliance inspections at key stages during construction to verify, in conjunction with the Assigned Certifier and the Contractor, compliance with the Building Regulations Part B.
(b) Landscape Architectural Services either as an in-house competency or as a bought in service for the purpose of providing landscaping services up to and including planning permission stage

All tenderers will be evaluated on the basis of the information submitted in response to this notice (All criteria have a minimum standard). The submission of the apparently successful tenderer will be validated prior to awarding the contract.

The scope of works requirements may be extended to include additional works of a similar nature at the discretion of the Contracting Authority. All additional scope of works are subject to the restrictions as set out in Article 72 of Directive 2014/24/EC (Regulation 72, SI 284 of 2016).
