Description of the procurement
NMI requires a specialist storage infrastructure supplier offering a wide range of storage solutions such as shelving, racking, cabinets, drawers and other options to meet its storage requirements.
Due to the complex nature of the NMIs storage requirements, we require services from storage infrastructure providers to ensure cost-effective and readily-available solutions can be provided. In many cases, the NMI expect to meet their requirements based on standard stock, as outlined in the company catalogue or online via the company website. In some cases, good-as-new second-hand solutions may be considered and for some projects bespoke storage solutions may be required, made to the specifications provided by the NMI, in consultation with the successful tenderer.
Provision of this infrastructure would include all elements of its installation and maintenance. It will also include the completion of risk assessments for every new working environment and situation, to ensure the framework supplier staff, NMI staff, general public, collections and non-collection objects are safe before movement takes place.
