The project concerns the construction works located at the University’s city centre campus. The contracting authority intends to invite 5 candidates to tender, please note that the contracting authority reserves the right to invite at least 5, subject to the number qualifying.
The works at the Rubrics Building (a Protected Structure and Recorded Monument, dating from 1699), entails the refurbishment of the entire structure over four storeys (1 715 m) to provide residential apartment accommodation and ancillary study space. External works include a new underground plant room of 43 m. with boreholes to provide sustainable heating, site connections, paving, and landscaping works.
The works at the Chief Steward’s House entails the refurbishment of the entire structure over two storeys (190 m). to provide residential apartment accommodation and ancillary space. Associated alterations to House 10 (a Protected Structure) to provide a new universal access route to the Chief Steward’s House with paving and landscaping works and alterations to the pedestrian gate in the adjacent perimeter railings (a Protected Structure).
The pre-qualification quantitative and qualitative short-listing criteria are wholly described within the tender document set. i.e. SAQ and Project Information Memorandum, separately attached.
