The scheme provides for a pedestrian and cycle bridge over the Royal Canal and Dublin to Sligo Railway, at Saunders Bridge adjacent to the Ardmore Road, Mullingar. The proposed scheme includes a suspended bridge deck and landing, bridge support structure, approach walkways/cycle ways, revised landscape area, cycle balustrades and ancillary works. The bridge will have a span of 40 m and will be 3 m wide. The proposed works will take place on the northern side of the existing railway and canal bridges.
