Panel Agreements of Private Healthcare Providers for the Provision of Additional Healthcare Capacity
Health Service Executive (HSE)
This tender follows on from an initial arrangement with the Private Hospitals on a cost-recovery basis put in place in response to the emergency requirements for response to the Covid-19 pandemic. That arrangement was concluded by Government Decision after three months. The HSE mandated by Government through the Department of Health now intends to commence a tender process. The purpose of the process is to access private healthcare services to address the HSE priority needs in providing ongoing care arising from the enduring impact of Covid-19 on the overall public system capacity due to the need to reduce occupancy rates, ensure safe distancing, etc.
