LCETB is currently seeking tenders to enter into a 12-month contract (with the option to extend) for the provision of FET learner counselling services. Tenderers are required to propose both online and face to face solutions. It is expected that this service will be available to learners for 52 weeks x 37 hours per week from 1 September 2020 to 31 August 2021. During peak periods, there may be a requirement to increase counselling support services and provision should be made for additional counsellors to manage caseloads. Hours of work may vary and may include evening sessions.
The counselling service for this contract operates within the remit of further education and training (FET) Division of LCETB. The authority’s further education and training division delivers courses to over 25 000 learners each year and has responsibility for 33 further education and training centres. We work with community groups in approximately 300 locations across the region and are also responsible for the management of music education provision.
