The Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Fire Suppression Systems

The Contracting Authority intends to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced economic operator to replace existing 10 years old fire suppression systems on a like-for-like basis (i.e., CO2 and FM200 cylinders with CO2 and FM200. Under current LPC guidelines, FM200 can still be used as a fire suppressant. It is acknowledged that FM200 is due to be discontinued, with the precise date of discontinuation yet to be confirmed by the relevant authorities; however, the cylinders have a shelf life of 10 years, at which point (i.e., 2029) the option of a site wide replacement program will be revisited.
