Where possible the material will be delivered to the site of the earthen embankment and deposited there. A non-technical description of the required material is as follows:
A sub-soil material suitable for the construction of a homogenous earthen embankment. The material shall be an impermeable fine-grained cohesive soil, with a suitable moisture content that shall be capable of reasonable compaction. No rocks greater than 75 mm in size shall be permitted in the soil. No organic material will be accepted.
