A new regional biosolids storage facility and associated site infrastructure on an 11 hectare site located on the eastern side of the N2 and within the townland of Newtown, Dublin 11.
This is in accordance with Irish Waterโ€™s National Wastewater Sludge Management Plan which recommended the development of regional facilities for the storage of biosolids. For full scope of works please refer to PQQ Document.

Scope of works for this competition: detailed design and construction of a biosolids storage facility with 2 No. architectural designed buildings with curved roofs with insulated metal cladded panels with reinforced concrete retaining wall up to approximately 7 m high. The approximate size of the buildings (to be built in 2 No. phases) are 105 m long and 50 m wide internally and with a clearance height of approximately 11,25 m to the soffit/trusses. This will also include Odour Control and Photovoltaic (PV) technology within the design to contribute clean renewable energy to the power requirements of the facility.
