The development will consist of the upgrading and extension of the existing Royal Irish Academy of Music's facilities from c. 4 039 sqm to c. 6 070 sqm. The development will comprise:
Demolition of existing modern extensions (with a combined area of c. 2 363 sqm) to the rear of Nos. 36-38 Westland Row and removal of existing yard area, boundary wall and fencing at the boundaries of Cumberland Court and Cumberland Street South;
Provision of a new 5 storey over lower ground floor extension to the rear of the Protected Structure.
