The aim of this initiative is to harness near-market research outputs and capabilities (TRL 6+) and to work closely with research groups and SMEs to test, scale and integrate viable technologies under commercial conditions. BIM staff are closely connected to the day-to-day activities in processing facilities, aquaculture sites and on-vessel and understand the current baseline capabilities across the entire value chain. Using innovation framework tools and design thinking methodology, R and D projects are being evolved using client-led insights and market-led ideation. Considerable opportunity exists to develop industry-oriented projects with impact and to integrate and embed R and D outputs in industry and create sustainable advantage for our clients.
To progress these opportunities, BIM proposes to set up (3) three Framework Agreements from which mini competitions will be run.
