The urgency associated with this requirement arises from the fact that the required products will be used in an acute hospital setting. On grounds of patient care, time is of the essence in respect of this competition.
Justification for the framework agreement:
Due to the complexity, body of work and expected roll-out timelines involved in this tender it is predicted that it may take 1 to 1.5 years before the initial requirements are met, therefore in order to benefit fully from the tendering process it would not be practicable to establish a framework for four years.
