Fáilte Ireland has responsibility for the registration of tourist accommodation using any of the prescribed terms specified in the Tourism Traffic Acts (1939–2016). Tenders are currently being sought from tenderers to carry out the assessment for both statutory and non-statutory sectors, as well as certain important administrative tasks associated with registration and approval. This is known as the National quality assurance framework (NQAF).
