The Department of Justice and Equality has deployed a 2 factor authentication solution to allow its users connect to its Network remotely. This has been deployed to provide an additional layer of security while at the same time supporting access to the internal Network from locations not on the LAN to support staff located outside Ireland as well as flexible working arrangements for staff based in Ireland.

The Department has deployed Gemaltoโ€™s Safe-Net to control access management. The Department intend to purchase licences and services to support its existing 2 factor authentication remote access capability. The Department of Justice and Equality wishes to engage an authorised Safe-Net re-seller for the support and purchase of the appropriate software licences which will allow it to build its existing Safe-Net and possibly upgrade to meet Best security practice.
