Description of the procurement
Tipperary County Council invites submissions from Candidates to participate in this procurement process for the delivery of a quality private housing scheme on Council owned lands on the Stereame Campus on the Limerick Road, Nenagh, County Tipperary, Ireland.
It is envisaged that the Development Site could create a high quality sustainable residential neighbourhood, which would derive character from its key location and amenity and could be a most attractive place to live.
The Councils vision is for the site to be fully developed to provide a sustainable housing development in the most economically advantageous, efficient, effective, and risk averse manner possible for the Council. The Council is seeking to identify Candidates to design, obtain planning consent, to develop the site and deliver and sell housing in a timely efficient manner to a high standard.
The Council are interested in high quality sustainable place-making and would like to see a mix of housing units on the site. Depending on the proposal received and the Development Agreement entered into, the Council may consider either transferring the lands outright or in phases or issuing a licence to build to the successful Candidates.
It is envisaged that the delivery timeframe with be within 3 to 5 years in phases from the award of the development contract. This will be subject to the terms of the development contract entered into by the Council.
