The on-going range of hardware products required will include:
— Servers,
— Storage Devices and associated peripherals (e.g. cables etc.),
— Network Devices and associated peripherals (e.g. cables etc.),
— Warranty, and
— Hardware Maintenance.
Below is an indicative list of envisaged project type work to be completed over the next 3 years.
— Infrastructure relocation to Cloud – re-location of the Authority’s Journey Planner and Real Time Passenger Information Systems to the cloud.
— Bus market Opening Systems – It is envisaged that the Bus Market Opening programme will lead to at least 4 new systems that will be hosted in the cloud.
— System Expansion – the Authority expects to expand the storage and compute infrastructure in early 2019 to accommodate new systems.
— Email – implementation of Microsoft Office 365 is expected in the coming two to three years
— Business Intelligence – it is expected that the Authority will deploy a more extensive Business Intelligence Platform.
