The proposed development works to the Brewhouse Building to facilitate its conversion to a range of uses including Education, Research and Development, and / or Office facility consists of:
โ€” The retention and re-use of the Brewhouse Building (approx. 4 530 sq.m.), a 2 / 3 and part 4 and 5 storey concrete framed building.
โ€” The demolition of a 2 storey steel framed extension to the south of the original โ€˜Bauhausโ€™ structure.(855 sq.m. ground and 110 sq.m. Second Floor.)
โ€” Construction of a new 220 sq.m. penthouse level over the northern section of the building.
โ€” Insertion of new floors in voids at first and second floor level to create additional floor space within the existing building envelope.
Replacement of part of the existing roof structure
โ€” This building is to be constructed to a L.E.E.D Gold certified standard.
