Tender for of Hand Held Haemopoietic Cell Product Hpc Courier Services at St James's Hospital
The National Bone Marrow Transplant unit in St James Hospital is seeking a specialised courier service to ensure the prompt collection of bone marrow/HPC/cellular therapy products from International harvest centres for delivery to St. James' Hospital. The transportation of haempoietic progenitor cells (HPC) by a courier is a critical step in Transplantation. Any incidents or deviations in transport can have a significant impact on patient outcome; this is particularly important for long distance transport. The HPC products must be hand carried back to Ireland immediately by a trained Courier for immediate Transplant. We require specialised courier providers that are compliant with Directive 2004/23/EC of the European Parliament & of the Council and any subsequent directives, World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA) courier requirements and IATA regulations.
