Project 1: Enclosed Service and Plant Areas, e.g. MV Room, LV Room etc. Book Processing, Book Unpacking / Quarantine, Digitisation, Staff Development (Staffing Facilities) and the Automatic Storage and Retrieval Area (ASRS) Support Areas and the Building Stores will also be located at this Level.

As part of the Loose Furniture Works, adjustable library shelving units are to be provided to the Special Collections Reading Area. The Special Collections Archives, Reading and Exhibition Areas are to be in accordance to PD5454 (2012) โGuide for the Storage and Exhibition of Archival Materialsโ.
