N22 Baile Bhuirne to Macroom Road Development Archaeological Consultancy Services (Stage [i]-[iv]) (Contract Lot 3)
The Contract involves the provision of archaeological consultancy services required in advance of construction of the proposed N22 Baile Bhuirne to Macroom Road Development; comprising: test excavations and surveys [Stage (i)]; pre-excavation services [Stage (ii)]; archaeological excavation [Stage (iii)]; post-excavation and dissemination [Stage (iv)]. These services (Contract Lot 3) are to be provided for the eastern (roughly) third of the road development area only, namely from the eastern boundary of the local road L7456 (approx. chainage 24 360) in the townland of Clonfadda, crossing the townlands of Codrum, Teerbeg, Gurteenroe, Kilnagurteen, Ballyveerane, Coolyhane, Bealick, Ummera and tying back into the existing N22 road in the townland of Coolcour (approx. chainage 31 700)—a total distance of approximately 7 340 linear metres.
