N22 Baile Bhuirne to Macroom Road Development Archaeological Consultancy Services (Stage [i]-[iv]) (Contract Lot 2)
The Contract involves the provision of archaeological consultancy services required in advance of construction of the proposed N22 Baile Bhuirne to Macroom Road Development; comprising: test excavations and surveys [Stage (i)]; pre-excavation services [Stage (ii)]; archaeological excavation [Stage (iii)]; post-excavation and dissemination [Stage (iv)]. These services (Contract Lot 2) are to be provided for the central (roughly) third of the road development area only, namely from the western boundary of the townland of Coolavokig (site of proposed underbridge S10A/10B), at approximate chainage 17,460, crossing the townlands of Coolavokig, Lackaneen, Lissacresig, Carrignamaddry, Inchinilinane, Carrigaphooca, Kilaclug, Glananarig, and terminating in the townland of Clonfaddda at the local road L7456 (approx. chainage 24,360), where the Clonfadda Overbridge is proposed—a total distance of approximately 6 900 linear metres.
