Marine Institute

The Marine Institute wishes to put a contract in place in place for the outsourcing
of the sampling, testing & reporting components of the Marine Institute's residue
monitoring programme. In particular this applies to delivery of the National
Aquaculture Residues Control Programme (NRCP) and Border Inspection Post
(BIP) analytical service. On award an agreement will be put in place to cover a
five year period for provision of such services (proposed start date 1st December
2016).
The Invitation to Tender calls for the provision of a service primarily to assist the
Marine Institute Residues team in delivery of the NRCP for aquaculture and
seafood fulfilling the Marine Institute's role as National Residue Laboratory for
certain residues in aquaculture.

The Marine Institute wishes to invite Applicants to submit a tender under an Open
Procedure.
five year period for provision of such services (proposed start date 1.12.2016).
The Tender call for provision of services to provide sampling, testing & reporting
services to the Marine Institute Residues team, which currently consists of 2 in
house staff (1 Marine Institute Residue Manager, 1 Marine Institute Laboratory
Analyst).
The Residues team in the Marine Institute is required to carry out their work in
accordance with Directive 96/23 of 29.4.1996 and the NRCP. This involves
the collection and chemical analyses of official farmed fish and other samples for
veterinary residues and contaminants, data management, reporting and related
services. The frequency of sampling and range of substances to be analysed will
be in accordance with Council Directive 96/23/EC of 29.4.1996 on measures
to monitor certain substances and residues thereof in live animals and animal
products and consistent with Ireland's National Residues Control Plan for
aquaculture/seafood for such monitoring.
