The works include the demolition of the West part of the Student Hub building including the demolition of an existing 2 storey redbrick building facing North on to The Mall (the main quadrangle on the DCU campus) and the single storey structures to the rear of it up to the South campus ring road, and the construction of circa 3 800m

Is the intention of DCU to procure the demolition and associated works separately and provide a clear site for the selected contractor.

The re-development will provide much needed facilities for social spaces, clubs and societies spaces, Student Union offices, retail spaces, meeting, conference and seminar rooms and student support spaces.

Any works associated with the relocation of existing users for the duration of the works will be under a separate procurement process.
