Single Party Framework Agreement for Occupational Health Services

Dublin City Council

The Contracting Authority proposes to engage in a competitive process for the
establishment of a framework agreement for the provision of Occupational Health
Services.
A framework agreement constitutes a means of establishing overall terms and
conditions in accordance with which, for a specified duration, individual contracts
may or not be awarded.
The City Council wishes to appoint an Occupational Health Service Provider
(OHSP) in order that The City Council has a best in class occupational health
service (OHS) for the protection and prevention of its entire staff, including the staff
of the Dublin Fire Brigade, from ill health (or injury) arising from their work in The
City Council.
The City Council is seeking to enter into a proactive partnership based
arrangement to ensure that it meets the objectives of the contract in the most
efficient and cost effective way while at the same time facilitating an environment in
which improvements are openly presented.
The framework agreement will be awarded to the OHSP that is best able to provide
a service which in general includes, but is not limited to:
โ€” Fitness for work and individual assessments
โ€” Pre-employment medical examinations
โ€” Fitness to return to work examinations
โ€” Ill-health retirement examinations
โ€” Vaccinations
โ€” Health surveillance programmes
โ€” Extensive examinations appropriate to emergency services personnel in
operations such as Dublin Fire Brigade.
