ESB, its subsidiary and associate companies and/or its joint venture partnerships existing or yet to be formed, is inviting interested parties to register their interest on the e-tenders website — the Irish Government‘s e-tendering platform (www.etenders.gov.ie). There are no costs associated with registration. All information relating to and including the pre-qualification documents, any clarifications or changes will be issued/published via this portal. The e-tenders reference is: “RFT 104256 — GWM3591 — Ground Mounted Solar Farms — EPC“. An email request should be forwarded through the e-tenders platform to request the pre-qualification documentation and questionnaire. All requests for clarification in respect of the documents must be received on or before close of business at 16:00 GMT on 29.4.2016. The PQQ must be completed and uploaded via http://www.etenders.gov.ie/ no later than 16:00 GMT on 9.5.2016. The responses received will be evaluated and used in drawing up a tender list. The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure. It is envisaged that up to 8 of the highest-scoring suitably qualified Applicants will be shortlisted to proceed to the Invitation to Tender stage of the procurement competition. It is envisaged that at up to 5 suitably qualified suppliers will be appointed under the framework. The Contracting Entity will not accept responsibility for information relayed (or not relayed) by third parties. Appointment to the Framework does not guarantee that individual work packages will be awarded to any framework member. The Contracting Entity makes no representation that it will procure works exclusively from any individual contractor who is appointed to the framework, nor does it guarantee any minimum level of work.

We wish to advise you that ESB has decided to cancel this current advertised Solar EPC Framework competition. The reasons for this decision are related to some delays in the development of Irish solar market which would mean it was unlikely that the framework as currently described would be fit for purpose. Apologies for any inconvenience this decision has caused. ESB is still committed to the development of ground mounted solar PV sites in the future and to prepare for any future procurement competitions we intend to commence a Preliminary market consultation by publishing a Prior Information Notice (PIN) in the OJEU shortly to allow for full engagement with suppliers and other interested parties in the solar PV ground mounted market.
