A National Multi-Supplier Framework for the Provision of Laboratory Services, and the Supply of Laboratory Consumables and Laboratory Equipment

Irish Water is tendering to establish a national multi-supplier framework for the provision of Laboratory Services, Consumables and Equipment.Sampling and analysis for all public drinking water supplies and waste-water agglomerations are undertaken across the 31 Local Authorities via either a dedicated in house laboratory or combination of laboratory services. For example some LAs undertake all testing in house, others undertake testing via a combination of in house and sub contracted laboratories and others sub contract all laboratory testing.Irish Water is seeking to establish a high quality sampling and/or analysis service to achieve efficiencies in all commercial laboratory contractual arrangements, to meet regulatory requirements and to protect public health. The new Framework will also facilitate the purchase of laboratory supplies and equipment. The anticipated Framework duration is 3 years with a potential for 2 single year extensions (potentially 5 years in total).These services will be sub-divided into Four (4) Lots described below as Lot 1, Lot 2, Lot 3 and Lot 4.Applicants may apply for 1, some or all Lots.For Lots 1 and 2 the successful tenderers may be allocated as ‘preferred supplier’ for a Local Authority Area on the basis of their tenders and there may be a limit on the number of local Authority Areas for which a single supplier achieves preferred supplier status.For Lots 3 and 4 there will be National Multi Supplier Framework for the supply of laboratory consumables and laboratory equipment.It is anticipated that Irish Water will enter into separate framework agreements for each of the following Lots:Lot 1 — Potable Water Laboratory Testing Services;Lot 2 — Waste Water Laboratory Testing Services;Lot 3 — Supply of Laboratory Consumables;Lot 4 — Supply of Laboratory Equipment and Laboratory Instrumentation.Please refer to the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire for further details.
