ESB Telecoms Limited (ESBT) has an extensive optical communications network throughout the Republic of Ireland. This network includes more than 1 200 km of aerial fibre optic cable directly attached to the phasewires of 38 kV and 110 kV.Electrical transmission lines and the earthwires of 110 kV, 220 kV and 400 kV lines. All of the installed cable is of a ‘helical-wrap’ design. ESBT expects that it will be necessary to extend this network in the future as customer demand require. ESBT has a requirement to place a framework agreement with a supplier of directly attached fibre optic cable for such extensions. The chosen supplier will also provide installation support in the form of specialised installation equipment and field support staff.

Expressions of interest and the pre-qualification questionnaire must be completed and returned to: ssprocurement@esb.ie quoting Reference No. SS/CON2343 no later than 12:00, Friday, 21.8.2015.
ESB wil short list a number of companies to proceed to RFT stage from these expressions of interest based on the responses to the pre-qualification questionnaires.
The contracting entity will not be responsible for any cost, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure.
