Electricity Supply Board (ESB) will require the supply, configuration and installation of an IP/MPLS network to support its operational traffic. The constituent components will include Routers, LAN switches, an NMS platform, and optical multiplexors and transceivers. Security and manageability will be important features of this network. The contract will also provide for maintenance and support. It is intended that the contract will provide for a drawdown arrangement, allowing ESB to call down requirements at regular intervals, and the ongoing maintenance of the items purchased. Over the course of this drawdown agreement, it is projected that this hierarchical network will have scaled to in excess of 100 sites.

ESB will shortlist a number of companies to proceed to RFP stage from these expressions of interest, based on the response to the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.
The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure.
