Sea Station for Galway Bay
This RFT is for the provision of a suitable platform (either fixed, floating or a combination of both) which is to be designed or adapted to accept the Floating Power System (FPS) Equipment within a purpose-built enclosure.
The platform should:
— Be of high quality construction with a design life of at least 10 years (must be fit for SEAI required purpose until 2025);
— Be qualified for long term deployment in an aggressive marine environment;
— Be based on best practice standards and products;
— Not require significant upgrades to meet our requirements. Any upgrades required should be notified and costs specified as part of the tender response.
The responsibility of delivery of the platform to Ireland (Galway docks) is included in this RFT. This platform will then be deployed (on a permanent basis) at the Ocean Energy Test Site located in Galway Bay.
