Previous archaeological investigations on the south and west of this site in 2012 in advance of construction of Gaelscoil Inis Corthaigh found nothing of archaeological interest and works to the protected boundary wall to form entrance and exit roads to the site were completed at this time.
There is an ecologically important woodland located at the north-east corner of the site and it is essential that the development will be undertaken in the most environmentally friendly means and to protect these trees.
