The DIT is seeking a service provider for student English Language Training and associated teacher training services in order to ensure that the needs of its international students are met. International students are required to meet the direct entry English language requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in DIT.
DIT currently offers international students a range of preparatory programmes to equip them with the language, academic and study skills they will need to be successful on their undergraduate or postgraduate studies.
A number of international language training programmes have been developed for students who need language and/or academic preparation for further study on graduate programmes in Ireland.
Students learn language, academic and study skills to prepare for entry into graduate programmes either in DIT or other Irish Universities or Institutes of Technology.
The programmes are designed for students who wish to study at graduate levels, but do not meet the minimum entry requirement for direct entry (e.g. may not have completed high school exit examinations).
There are a range of options, depending on what students want to study in their graduate programmes and training provides the opportunity to further improve language and/or academic skills.
