Davitt Road Campus is a 5 hectare site consisting of the former Unilever and Blindcraft Campuses now all falling under the ownership of the HSE.
It is anticipated that the HSE will develop an National Ambulance Service Depot at this location accommodating the logistical support for up to 38 vehicles of different types which provide acute or managed response services (Emergency ambulances, Paramedic first responders, Intermediate Care Vehicles.
The development will consist of construction of access route to the development and construction of a new building (circa 600 sq m) to support the National Ambulance Service The proposed development will consist of the construction of a part single storey, part two storey Ambulance Base (1 612.29 sq.m gross area) with 37 no. ambulance fleet vehicle parking bays with associated canopies, 40 no. car parking spaces, enclosed vehicle wash (105.55 sq.m gross area), enclosed motorcycle and bicycle structure (120.18 sq.m gross area), internal gates and landscaping areas. The proposed development also includes connections to the public water infrastructure, the creation of a new entrance to the site at Davitt Road including associated security gates, and all associated site development and landscaping works.
