Media for Stem Cells โ€” Multi-Party Framework Agreement

National University of Ireland, Galway (NUI Galway)

The 4-year project, entitled โ€˜Role of NRXN1 in neurodevelopmental disorders: from stem cells to clinical phenotypesโ€™, is funded by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI). 1 of the aims includes the generation of human induced pluripotent stem cells from patients with specific lesions in NRXN1, a gene commonly associated with autism and schizophrenia. It is envisaged that this multi-collaborative, multinational programme will provide human in vitro models for neurodevelopmental disorders, investigate the underlying neuropathological mechanism(s), and, ultimately, identify novel treatment strategies. To this end, we rely on the use of specialised media that supports the growth and expansion of human induced pluripotent stem cells. The purpose of this tender is to establish a Multi-Party Framework Agreement for the supply of Stem Cell Media. It is envisaged that the top 3 scoring tenderers will be appointed to the framework for this tender. On each case a purchase is required; a mini tender competition will be conducted among the suppliers. It is envisaged that the Framework will be established for 2 years with the option to extend annually for another two years. Full details of requirements are provided in the Invitation to Tender document which is available for downloading via www.etenders.gov.ie Once the Contract Notice (RFT100263) is selected, suppliers must โ€˜acceptโ€™ the invitation in order to access the tender documentation. Suppliers must be registered on the e-tenders website in order to access the information. Registration is free of charge.
