In the case of Gas Boilers โ€” The appointed Contractor shall be currently registered as a Registered Gas Installer (RGI) with the Register of Gas Installers of Ireland (RGII) or equivalent and as being competent to carry out works and all works shall comply with IS 813:2002, Domestic Gas Installations. The Contractor must hold a Level 6 National Craft Certificate in Plumbing or equivalent such as an award by a recognised international body.

In the case of Oil Boilers โ€” The appointed Contractor must be OFTEC Registered or equivalent to carry out such works and use only maintenance engineers who are trained and qualified. The servicing/maintenance of Oil Boilers must be carried out by suitably qualified individuals in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines and industry best practice as a minimum. The Contractor must hold a Level 6 National Craft Certificate in Plumbing or equivalent such as an award by a recognised international body.
