Design Services for Tourism Signage Plans

Fรกilte Ireland-National Tourism Development Authority

Fรกilte Ireland requires the services of a road signage consultancy to prepare a range of tourism signage plans over a four year period. The signage will be in accordance with the requirements of the Traffic Signs Manual 2011, white-on-brown tourism signs. It is envisaged that the signage plans, as required, will provide both identity and directional information for branded tourism destination areas and also for individual tourist attractions and amenities throughout Ireland. All such plans should integrate, as appropriate, with existing and proposed signage schemes (both regular traffic signs and tourism signs) already undertaken or under development by the National Roads Authority or a Local Authority. The required service will include the provision of technical drawings for detailed sign-face design, sign and mounting manufacture specification, and supervision of sign manufacturing and installation by a signage contractor, in liaison with the relevant roads authority. It will be a requirement that both desk and site survey work should take place for the purpose of integrating such signage schemes, and to certify that the final installations are in compliance with all relevant standards.
