Consultancy Services for Dinish Pier Expansion at Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. Cork
The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) requires the services of a consultancy firm with expertise in civil and marine engineering to prepare a preliminary report, detailed design, tender documentation, works and handover stage for the Dinish Pier Expansion Project at Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre, Co. Cork.
The project involves the following broad parameters;
โ Provision of approximately 125 metres Pier extension on the west side of the existing Dinish Pier.
โ Provision of approximately 70 metres Pier extension on the east side of the existing Dinish Pier.
โ Provision of 8 metres draft at Chart Datum in the vicinity of the Pier extensions.
The Dredging will involve the removal of the underlying seabed material (including rock). Some of the seabed material is contaminated with TBT.
โ Upgrade of the Syncrolift structure to enable vessels to be removed by a 500 tonne mobile boat hoist or alternative options.
โ Adequate road access, hardstanding and parking areas to be provide adjacent to the Pier extensions and Syncrolift.
