University College Dublin (UCD)

The UCD School of Biosystems Engineering conducts cutting edge research on biological systems (e.g. food, biomaterials, water). Within the School, the Biowater research group is led by Dr. Aoife Gowen. The mission of her group is to investigate the interaction between biomaterials and water in order to understand the key processes of biodegradation, biocompatibility and biofouling. Dr. Gowen is a senior lecturer in Biosystems Engineering and her team have research expertise in hyperspectral imaging, chemometrics, water chemistry, biomaterials engineering and molecular dynamic simulations. The School has a requirement to purchase two pieces of equipment and this tender is divided into two Lots to reflect this.
Lot 1 — NIR-MIR Chemical Imaging System
Lot 2 — Raman Microscopic Imaging System
Suppliers are free to bid for either Lot 1 or Lot 2 or both Lots.
