Structure/Dive Quay Inspection - Establishment of a multi-party framework agreement for Structural Inspections, Remediation Design and Site Supervision of Port Quayside Infrastructure
Port of Cork Company
The framework agreement will be established on foot of a competition for an initial contract for Survey and dive inspections of port quay side infrastructure. This contract will be awarded to the successful tenderer following the formal establishment of the framework agreement.
The Port Of Cork Company established a Baseline Condition Survey of its quayside infrastructure in 2005, and developed a planned maintenance program to address priority issues which are identified, on a phased basis. The survey was updated in 2009 and the subsequent remedial works identified have been carried out in the intervening years.
The Port now wish to appoint a company or consortia to carry out a third round of diving and engineering structural inspections, based on previous works and information, to progress the planned maintenance of the quayside infrastructure. The final survey report will detail works necessary to carry on the program of inspections, monitoring, repairs and preventative and protective measures to preserve the structural integrity of quayside assets in an economical manner.
It is a requirement that the diving inspection team should, at a minimum, be led by a professional engineer who is also a qualified diver. The quay inspections should be led by a structural engineer with experience in the port / marine environment.
The time limit for receipt of tenders was 2014-03-11. The procurement was published on 2014-02-26.
