SET 5286- Design and Supply of GSM-R Network Handportables
Iarnród Éireann is currently in the process of rolling out a GSM-R radio system across its rail network. Phase 1, involving roll out of GSM-R infrastructure, designed and supplied by Kapsch Carrier Com in the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) area and fitment of Cab Mobiles, designed and supplied by Siemens, to the EMU fleet is now near completion and IE is ready to commence Phase 2, which will involve an extension of the network infrastructure and fitment of cab mobiles on the following fleet:
29000;
2000;
9000;
3000.
NIR Loco's 071 & 201.
IE is seeking to establish a framework agreement for the design and supply of GSM-R Handportables for integration with this network.
