Research study report on 'The gender employment gap: challenges and solutions'
In the context of the call of the social investment package of the importance of closing the gender gaps in the labour market, in 2014 Eurofound will carry out a research project entitled 'The gender employment gap: challenges and solutions':
— to map the recent trend and determinants of female labour market participation and to study the non-paid domestic and care activities,
— to estimate the economic loss due to the gender gap in employment participation in Europe,
— to investigate the future effect of reducing the gender gap in labour market participation on the economic growth of selected Member States,
— to provide an overview of the recent most successful approaches that facilitate female labour market participation.
The tender is divided into 3 lots:
lot 1 — trends and determinants of female labour market participation;
lot 2 — review and analysis of policies and initiatives for supporting labour market participation;
lot 3 — anticipating the future trend of female labour market participation and its impact on economic growth.
