Research and design of paramedic competency standard
Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council
We are inviting submissions from suitably accredited tertiary level institutes e.g. Universities providing paramedic programmes in jurisdictions where the paramedic profession is regulated to tender for the research and supply of a paramedic competency standard. The competency standard will include future paramedic specialist roles i.e., physician's assistant (emergency department); community; aerial transport; and critical care in Ireland. The competency standard will supplement the current Education and Training Standards for paramedic and advanced paramedics that set out learning outcomes with knowledge, attitude and skills objectives.

2. Submission of a proposal/ methodology to deliver information requested for 3.1 and 3.2, with reference to 3.7 in tender document (20)
3. Submission of a proposal/methodology to deliver information requested for paramedic specialist roles 3.3 — 3.6 with reference to 3.7 in tender document (20)
4. Submission of a draft competency framework for a paramedic to include a sample of one complete educational domain across the specialisms including competencies and behaviours that will show content and how it will be will be structured (10)
5. Submission of a proposal/methodology to deliver information requested in 3.10 in tender document (10)
6. Submission of documented evidence of previous experience in similar projects (10)
7. Submission of an estimated project plan for completion of all the required Solutions (5)
8. The overall tender price (20)
