Quantity Surveying Service - Framework Agreement for Quantity Surveying Consultants

CIT intends to establish a framework agreement comprising multi disciplinary construction consultants for educational related construction projects over a two year period with provision for a further 2nr 1 year extensions.. The value of projects covered by this Framework Agreement will be for projects with a value greater than 2.5M EUR and less than 10M EUR, (ignore Type in Section 1.6 - Project Category).
A framework agreement will be formed in accordance with Article 32/4 of EU Directive 204/18/EC. In accordance with Article 1 (5) and 32 (4) of Directive 2004/18/EC it is the intention of the authority to establish a Framework Agreement (FA) which does not establish all the items (Multiple Framework Agreement stricto sensu). The authority intends to enter into such agreement with multiple operators for each service category for the purpose of establishing the basis for the tendering and award of service contracts under mini competitions for projects as yet to be defined and/or approved during the period of agreement. For each provision to be awarded, Cork Institute of Technology will consult in writing with the operators as appointed under the FA for the purpose of establishing such mini competitions. The precise terms and criteria for the award of each provision will be determined seperately for each mini competition. The contract for each consultancy service will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender received in terms of the criteria and relative weightings as set out in the tender specification for each mini competition. Scope and Nature of works: It is envisaged that the scope of consultancy services will include QS services associated with new build projects; refurbishment and extensions to existing Institute buildings and facilities including offices, canteens, classrooms,laboratories, lecture theatres, sport facilities, site development and infrastructure works found on third level education institutions where such individual project.
