NSAI - External Service Delivery Model for Automotive Approvals Service

National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI)

NSAI is the approval authority for a number of schemes which enhance the safety and environmental aspects of vehicles on the road in Ireland and in Europe. The service is currently resourced by a combination of NSAI staff and a graduate program. In carrying out its functions in relation to this legislation, NSAI has a Market and Regulatory Support Division comprising of a small number of Certification Officers plus administrative and managerial support.
To augment the resources of the existing Market and Regulatory Support Division,
NSAI proposes to engage a service provider to provide:
โ€” Persons to carry out Automotive product and system evaluations.
โ€” A person or persons to support the Authority's administration in support of the Automotive existing administrative arrangements when necessary
The expected term of the contract will be 2 years with an option to extend for up to a further 2 years at the sole discretion of the Authority.
