Kevin Street Garda Divisional HQ – Phase 2 – Mechanical Specialist Prequalification
The works will consist of the construction of a new 6,840 sqm Garda Divisional
Headquarters building adjacent to the existing Kevin Street Garda station, which is a Protected Structure (formerly called St. Sepulchre's Palace), with a 5,400 sqm double basement, The development consists of a 2-3 storey building with flat roofs along the west boundary; a 5 storey building with flat roof and curved street elevation along the east boundary and a connecting glazed atrium with a mono-pitch glass roof.
Mechanical services installation shall include liaison with utility companies, supply and installation of gas and mains water pipework distribution network within the site. The supply and installation of oil distribution pipework, oil storage tank, hot and cold water services pipework, soils and waste pipework installation and VRV refrigeration pipework complete with DX indoor units and centralised externally located air cooled condensers. Mechanical ventilation will be provided in specific location from vertical air handling units complete with thermal wheels, each located within the building. An energy centre containing boilers, circulating pumps, water storage tank, direct gas fired water heaters, MCC panel shall be provided under the mechanical contract. Two \\basement levels shall be mechanically ventilated via smoke extract fans located within a central riser and shunt fans located throughout within each basement level.
