IMERC intends to appoint a Single Design Team for the Development of Innovation building at Ringaskiddy, Co Cork
The construction consultancy services required to carry out this project will be procured on the basis of a single design team appointment. The selected team will be required to provide the full range of consultancy services for the delivery of the project including but not limited to the following.
1. Architectural Services
2. Civil/Structural and Fire Engineering Services.
3. Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Services.
4. Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP)
5. Quantity Surveying Services.
Imerc will novate certain members of the Design Team to the D & B contractor at the completion of Stage III Tender and Award Stage.
The proposed building will provide accommodation of approx. 2 000 m² which will comprise of the following:
— Business Incubation and accelerator space,
— Technical workshop space,
— Training/Business support,
— Imerc management office,
— Tenant space for anchor companies,
— Experts in residence,
— Shared services and support facilities such as meeting rooms and coffee docks.
The building will be developed on a design and build basis.
IMERC is a partnership between UCC, CIT and the Irish Naval Service. Procurement advertising for the design team is taking place on the UCC e-tenders portal. It is envisaged that the IMERC partnership may be formed into an independent entity with the capacity to act as a contracting authority for the procurement of works and services. The contracts for design services will be signed by one of the IMERC partners or by IMERC, subject to IMERC's status as a contracting authority being established.
